JIMMY: I remember the first time I met you, I was with Horatio back in.. ‘90..
AMY: ‘96?
JIMMY: No, 1998, I think. When we first got the show, and you were doing UCB in New York in, I want to say you were in like a little theater somewhere. Where was that?
AMY: Yeah, well in ‘98 we were probably like on 22nd and 7th. We had a theater—
JIMMY: I think it was before that.
AMY: Oh, it was even before that! It was this place called Solo Arts.
JIMMY: Yes! That’s exactly what it was.
AMY: 17th street. It was like a 5-floor walk-up.
JIMMY: Yes! No air conditioning.
AMY: No air conditioning.
JIMMY: Yeah, I remember going there and Horatio was like, ‘You’ve gotta meet my friend Amy,’ and I’m like, ‘That girl is so adorable. She’s so—’ you were just so pretty.
AMY: Aw, that’s so nice.
JIMMY: And you had like some ski hat or something like that on. You know, you don’t care about yourself. You were just walking around—
AMY: [Laughs]
JIMMY: You were just being adorable and so pretty. And then I saw you on stage and I was like, ‘Dude, this girl is like a genius. She’s like amazing, and gorgeous.’ And then, they got you on the show—
AMY: Wow. Are you feeling this?
JIMMY: [Laughs] No, I know, please. I had just never seen such a talent. It was awesome. And then you came on the cast. I was so happy.
AMY: We had a really fun time working together. It was a pleasure working with you, it really was.
I love this SNL christmas song, one of my favourites!
“I don’t care about anything, other than hearing those christmas bells ring-a-ding-ding, I wish it was christmas tooodayyy!”
